A free field guide to healing frequencies
Most frequency lists online hand you a number and a promise. 528 Hz repairs DNA. 110 Hz is the temple tone. A Rife set clears a cold. Then they leave you to sort the chant from the claim.
We made a free guidebook that does the sorting for you.
The Frequency Guidebook from Infinite Meditation is a 15-page listening field guide. It lists the hertz values people actually use, names the tradition behind each one, and says plainly what research has and has not shown. It is a practice map, not a prescription.

What you can look up
The guide is built to be used with headphones on, not filed away.
- Sound therapy, in plain language. What a hertz value is, why slow sound can settle the nervous system, and the three questions worth asking of any healing-frequency claim.
- The nine solfeggio tones. 174, 285, 396, 417, 528, 639, 741, 852, and 963 Hz, with the six numbers from the 1990s and the three later additions labeled as such. Medieval solfège named scale degrees. It did not encode this list.
- 528 Hz, without the myth. The small cortisol study, the cell-dish finding, and why neither one is clinical proof of DNA repair.
- How entrainment is made. Binaural beats, monaural beats, isochronic tones, and the frequency-following response. Headphones matter for one of these. Speakers are fine for the others.
- Delta, theta, alpha, beta, and gamma. The bands, the states they track, and how they are used for sleep, meditation, and focus. Gamma includes the 40 Hz sensory research, kept in its lane.
- Planetary tones. Hans Cousto’s octave-raised cycles, from the 136.10 Hz OM tone to Venus at 221.23 Hz, plus the measured 7.83 Hz Schumann fundamental.
- Rife-inspired sets. The numbers that circulate for comfort themes, marked as historical listening lists. Not treatments.
- Session maps. Sleep, insomnia wind-down, lucid dreaming, focus, emotional balance, physical wellness, a chakra sequence, and an imaginal sit.
- Temple pitch. Why 110 Hz is famous, and why the best-documented Maltese chamber measured nearer 114 Hz.
- Felt sound and PEMF. A short account of vibroacoustic therapy and pulsed electromagnetic fields, for listeners who want the tone in the body as well as the ear.
Every table gives the number, the common label, and an evidence note. If a claim is symbolic, it says so.
Who it is for
Use it if you already sit with bowls, drones, or binaural tracks and want the numbers in one place. Use it if you are new and do not want to start with a cure story. Use it if you teach, guide, or write about sound and need language that a careful reader will not have to walk back.
It is not medical advice. It will not replace sleep, care, or a clinician. People with epilepsy, implanted devices, pregnancy, or acute psychiatric symptoms should ask a clinician before entrainment audio, a vibroacoustic mat, or a PEMF device. Sleep-range and theta audio are for the chair or the bed, not the driver’s seat.
How to start this week
Pick one map and repeat it four times before you judge it.
- Sleep: a 174 Hz carrier with a 2 to 3 Hz delta beat.
- Focus: 14 to 16 Hz under a 432 Hz carrier.
- A quiet sit: 136.10 Hz for twenty minutes, no beat required.
Write down the hour, the tone, and one line about how you felt. The pattern shows up in the notes.
If you want to feel the low end
Headphones cover the audible part of a session. They miss most of what vibroacoustic work is for. Frequencies under about 20 Hz are felt more than heard.
The Woojer Mat turns an ordinary audio source into full-body vibration, including that low band, across six haptic zones. Play the sleep drone or the OM tone and the session lands in the body. Use code INFINITE10 at checkout to save. Click here to learn more
HealthyLine mats are the PEMF side of the same rest practice: pulsed electromagnetic fields, with far infrared and other layers depending on the model. A different signal from sound, a similar reason to lie down. The same code, INFINITE10, saves there too. Click here to learn more about Healthyline
The listening itself is free. A pair of headphones and twenty quiet minutes is a complete practice. The guidebook is the map.
